These YMakers are making a difference. Answering a challenge from YouTube maker mentor, Steve Ramsey, they’re making airplanes to support Make-A-Wish! For each airplane made, Mr. Ramsey has pledged to donate $5 to the organization, and his sponsor has agreed to match it. Our YMakers students get to keep their plane, or give it to a friend, or they can take it apart and make it again. No matter what they do with their plane, that maker has done a good deed for someone in need.
To learn more about the campaign, visit www.makerscare.org, and look up Steve Ramsey’s YouTube channel (my personal favorite): Woodworking For Mere Mortals. I’ve learned more about woodworking from Steve than from just about any other source.
